Unit GIS dan Perancangan (UGISP), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia was established to venture on the application of information technology especially in urban planning and management, align with the university's vision. UGISP was initially set up in 1992 with expertise in various disciplines including urban and regional planning, environmental assessement, land surveying and computer science.
